1.) Herkie
If you want to learn how to do a perfect herkie, you must...
* Bend one leg back behind you and put the other straight out in front of you ( see image to the left)
*Jump as high as you can to get your legs to go up in this position. Try jumping straight up just to get the feel of the jump and how high you might need to go.
* When you do your herkie, make sure your legs are spread apart to make it look like a herkie and not a hurdler. ( If you want to know what a herdler is, scroll down to number 3)

2.) Toe Touch
If you want to learn how to do a perfect toe touch you must...
* Stretch in your v-sit stretch to get your legs warmed up. Try to go down farther each time to really get those hamstrings and back stretched.
*Jump as high as you can to get your legs to go up in a sitting position. You want to rotate your hips outward to get into the sitting position. This will help you jump higher and make it easier.
*Keep your head up and back straight.
*Point your toes
* Make sure you don't touch your toes. You want to have you arms in a T position over your legs.

3.) Hurdler
*The Front Hurdler jump is almost identical to the Herkie jump with the exception
of your front leg. In a Front Hurdler your front(straight) leg is right in front
of your face and your bent leg has the knee pointing down to the ground. There
are right and left Front Hurdlers. In a right Front Hurdler the right leg is the
straight leg and the opposite is true for a left Front Hurdler.
